‘Liverpool confirmation’ – Mohamed Salah made injury claim in Chelsea FA Cup final

Liverpool have confirmed that Mohamed Salah has “groin pain” after limping off injured against Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Salah fell just after the half hour mark at the home of English football – despite no one around – and was seen clutching his leg. After being treated on the pitch, Salah limped off and was replaced by Diogo Jota.

And speaking at half-time on beIN SPORTS, journalist Carrie Brown reported that Liverpool had told her Salah had been brought in due to a ‘sore groin’. Brown also claimed it would be wrong to write off the striker’s chances of being involved in the Champions League final against Real Madrid later this month.

“The fact that it’s an injury you just can’t risk on, and the fact that the medical team was with him for a little while, checking on him, suggests that it’s was a prudent decision, a risk you simply cannot take.
