Injury lawyer Kenneth J. Allen and the Allen Law Group have donated Thanksgiving Day meals to 1,200 households in Northwest Indiana, a tradition they’ve nurtured for decades.
Meals were distributed on Sunday, November 21 to families, individuals and associations in the region. The event was coordinated by staff from United Way of Northwest Indiana with the help of over 80 volunteers.
“Thanksgiving should be a joyful time for everyone. But sometimes the right people face real hardships, especially in these tough times, ”said personal injury lawyer Kenneth J. Allen. “We are fortunate to be able to lend a helping hand so that vulnerable families can enjoy a wonderful holiday meal together. And we couldn’t do it without the competent help of Centraide.
Each meal contained a whole turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a whole pie. For more information on United Way of Northwest Indiana’s community programs, visit unitedwaynwi.org.
